The offseason is a time when NBA players dabble in their interests that they have to sacrifice during the season. Nikola Jokic’s interest is maintaining his stable of horses and racing them in Serbia.

Jokic’s horse won the Duzijanca race and the reigning Finals MVP has been celebrating the same. A viral video of him celebrating the win by dancing shirtless shows how much his horse’s success means to him.

Jokic was looking forward to being reunited with his horses. The first thought on his mind after winning the NBA Championship was traveling to Serbia and being with his horses. His love for animals doesn’t make him less dangerous on the court, as he averaged 30.0 points, 13.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists over his successful playoff run.

Nikola Jokic Looking To Defend The Championship

The Denver Nuggets want to transition from being 2023 Champions into a dynasty that can compete at the highest level for the next few years. All their key players are under the age of 30, with them using youth to replenish their rotation. 

Veterans Bruce Brown and Jeff Green have moved on in the summer, but the Nuggets will hope their young players, Christian Braun and Peyton Watson, can take a big leap forward and help the franchise continue atop the West. Jokic seems to be getting better every season and there’s no reason to assume that the team will have a massive decline coming off the first championship in franchise history.
